One of my favorites, join me for this delicious recipe if you don’t like caramelized onion – that is not an issue ignore the onion preparation part and focus only on steak sandwich which is fantastic on its own. Make sure you select a good piece of steak to enjoy your sandwich, the better the steak the more you will enjoy your sandwich!
Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and onions. Cook, stirring occasionally until softened, about 4 min. Add 1tsp sugar and season with salt to taste. Continue to cook stirring occasionally, until onions are golden-brown, about 10 min. When onions are done, remove the pan from heat. Add 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar. Stir together 1 min. Transfer caramelized onions into a small bowl and set aside.
Same as for the previous steap start by heating a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. You can use the same pan just wipe carefully with a paper tower. When the pan is hot, add 1tbsp olive oil, then steak and 1 fresh garlic clove cut in half. You can also add rosemary for more flavor. Cook the steak for about 5 minutes per side, turning it every 1 min. When steak is done, remove and transfer to a wooden cut board, let rest for 3-4 min.
Meanwhile, peel, then mince 1 garlic clove. In a small bowl stir together minced garlic and 4 tbsp mayonnaise. Save for later.
Halve ciabatta buns. Grill on one side using a grill pan over medium heat. Toast until golden-brown, about 3 minutes.
Thinly slice steak. Spread garlic and mayonnaise dressing over ciabatta halves, then top with steak and caramelized onions. Enjoy! Don’t forget to add a side to your sandwich, a healthy salad would do the deal, I would recommend Caprese Salad or Greek Salad.
Caprese salad is a simple Italian salad, made of sliced fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and sweet basil, seasoned with salt and olive oil, it is usually arranged on a plate in restaurant practice. Like pizza Margherita, it features the colors of the Italian flag: green, white, and red. This easy, healthy choice is a great side addition to your main course, it goes well with a Steak Sandwich, Meatballs and any other lunch, it is also a good choice for an appetizer, you can also notice that Caprese Salad makes it to the top list of appetizer in Italian menus.
The classic Caprese salad is often called, a 3 ingredient salad, where the key ingredients are tomatoes, mozzarella and basil leaves, there are also a lot of deviations from the classic recipe where pepper or vinegar is added, to keep the things simple and classic – I recommend sticking to the classic Italian recipe, especially if you are part of healthy weight-watchers community

Sometimes all you need is a batch of hassle free homemade choc chip cookies esp. if they’re this good 🌸
I’ve posted a similar recipe, but have made a few adjustments:
1 cup almond flour
1/3 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup honey 1 tsp caramel essence (or vanilla)
Pinch of salt .
How to: 🙃 you know me – mix that ish up and stick it in the oven – basically mix everything , fold in chopped up choc
– roll in to little balls, and place on a tray lined with baking paper
– flatten into little discs, and bake at 180c for 10-15 mins
– allow to cool & devour
A simple recipe for oven baked fries, is what I have for you today. The addition of a few herbs and Parmesan cheese gives these beauties a fabulous flavor. They are very simple to make and go well with all kinds of things like the French Onion Burger Of Wonder, Sloppy Joes or Grilled Chicken Caesar Wraps.
Dip them in some ketchup, or stir some mayo and BBQ sauce together to make a handy dip. Make them for lunch, make them for dinner or make them at 9 PM while you watch the Olympics.
Which are pretty spectacular, by the way. Watching a man with artificial legs run the 400 meter dash is really something, wouldn’t you say? Very commendable, indeed.
Have a great day, everyone. Hope you come back soon.
Crispy Parmesan Oven Fries
Time: 10 minutes hands on + 20 minutes baking
Yield: 7-8 servings
Recipe from Jamie Cooks It Up!
PRINT RECIPE WITH PICTURE
6 russet potatoes
2 T olive oil
1/2 t oregano
1/2 t thyme
4 T Parmesan Cheese (I used Kraft)
Salt and Pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
2. Wash your potatoes well. Slice them into 5 or 6 half inch pieces.
3. Divide the slices in half and lay each half face down in a stack. Slice each stack into 4 or 5 half inch slices.
Cutting your potatoes this way will make them even in size (for the most part, don’t get a ruler out or anything) allowing them cook evenly.
5. Take a large pair of tongs and toss the fries around, making sure they all get a bit of oil on them.
6. Add a bit of salt and pepper
and then sprinkle 4 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese over the top.
7. Toss it all together, making sure every potato gets some of the coating.
8. Spray 2 large cookie sheets with cooking spray and lay the potatoes out evenly.
9. Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring once or twice while they cook. When they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside they are done.
